Seamless Texture Maker

Seamless Texture Maker

Make any texture perfectly tileable. Adjustable edge-blending with live tiled preview so you can see the seams vanish. Supports single images and full PBR texture sets, all processed client-side, zero uploads.

Patch Mask

How far each patch's soft edge extends over its neighbours.

Low = soft, wide transitions. High = crisp patch edges.

Noise-distorts patch edges so transitions look organic instead of circular.

Pattern Grid

Patch grid: 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 6×6, 8×8.

Use 0 for directional textures (wood grain, bricks).

Variation

Per-patch brightness/tint shift. In PBR Batch it only affects Base Color.

Number of times the texture is repeated in the tiled preview grid.

Tiled Preview

Grid lines show tile boundaries. A seamless result has no visible breaks at the lines.

How It Works

1

Upload

Upload a single image or a full PBR texture set: albedo, roughness, metallic, normal, AO. The tool processes them individually.

2

Adjust and Preview

Tweak blend width and falloff curve. See a live tiled preview with grid lines so you can visually confirm there are no visible seams.

3

Download

Download your seamless textures as PNG files. 100% client-side. Your images never leave your browser. No uploads, no privacy concerns.

Why Make Textures Seamless?

Seamless textures are essential for professional 3D art. Non-tileable textures create ugly grid patterns when repeated, here is where seamless textures matter most.

Game Development

Texture terrains, walls, and floors without visible grid lines. Tileable textures scale across any surface size in Unity, Unreal, and Godot.

3D Rendering and VFX

Cover architectural models, product renders, or film environments. No visible edge breaks, even at extreme close-ups.

PBR Material Workflows

Make every PBR channel tileable: albedo, roughness, metallic, normal, AO for physically-based materials that work at any scale.

Web and Graphic Design

Create seamless background patterns, website textures, and UI elements that repeat smoothly without breaking the visual flow.

Photogrammetry

Scanned surfaces often have lighting discontinuities at edges. Making them seamless blends those inconsistencies for clean scanned materials.

AI-Generated Textures

AI art and procedural textures often lack tiling. Post-process them here to fix tiling issues before production use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The seamless texture maker transforms any image into a perfectly tileable repeating texture. It processes the edges so they blend together seamlessly, using edge-blending algorithms to eliminate visible seams. The texture repeats in all directions without any visible borders. This is essential for covering large surfaces in 3D rendering, game environments, and digital art without ugly repetition artifacts.
Upload any image, adjust the blend width slider to control how much of the edges blend together, and choose a falloff curve (smooth cosine for natural textures, sharp for geometric patterns). The result updates live, you'll see the seamless output, a tiled grid preview, and a 3D rotating sphere preview all update in real time as you adjust the controls. When you're happy, select your desired format and click Download. PNG/JPEG/WebP downloads are instant in your browser. TIFF, BMP, AVIF, and EXR formats require logging in and are processed server-side with daily tier limits.
Yes. Switch to the "PBR Batch" tab and drop your entire texture set at once, multiple files or a whole folder. The tool automatically detects Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normal, AO, and Height maps by filename (e.g. "wood_roughness.png" or "wood_nrm.jpg") and shows you the detected assignment so you can fix any mismatches before processing. You can also upload each channel manually if you prefer. Every map is processed individually with the same blend settings so all PBR channels remain perfectly aligned, and each one downloads separately in your chosen format.
Blend Width controls how far from the edge (as a percentage of texture size) the blending occurs. Higher values create smoother transitions but can blur fine detail near edges. Lower values preserve detail but may leave faint seams. Falloff curve determines the blend transition shape: Smooth (cosine) feels natural for most textures, Linear gives even blending, and Sharp produces a hard cut best suited for geometric or pixel-art textures.
Six export formats are available from the download dropdown. PNG, JPEG, and WebP are marked "(instant)", these are generated entirely in your browser and download immediately with no login required. TIFF, BMP, AVIF, and EXR are marked "(server)", these are sent to our backend where Sharp transcodes your seamless result into the requested format. Server-side formats require a free account and count toward your daily premium operations limit (5 per day on the free tier, unlimited on paid plans). This dual approach gives you instant downloads for common formats while still supporting professional production formats like TIFF, BMP, AVIF, and EXR for demanding pipelines.
Any image format your browser can read is supported for upload: PNG, JPG (JPEG), WEBP, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and AVIF all work. All processing happens client-side in your browser, so there are no file size limits beyond what your system can handle. For very large textures (8K and above), the preview automatically downscales to maintain smooth performance.
Yes, any texture you process with this tool is yours to use freely for personal and commercial projects. No attribution required. This includes game development (Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot), 3D rendering (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max), architectural visualization, VFX production, web design, and digital art. We impose no restrictions on derivative works.
Non-seamless textures create visible seams, hard edges, or grid-like patterns when repeated across large surfaces, this breaks immersion and looks unprofessional. Seamless textures blend edges so they connect perfectly in all directions. Whether you are texturing a massive terrain in a game engine or creating a repeating background, making textures tileable is essential for clean, professional-quality results at any scale.
